GEOVIA MINEX

About the Course

Designed specifically for stratified deposit scenarios such as coal, lignite, and bauxite, this training focuses on the end-to-end modeling and scheduling capabilities of GEOVIA Minex and MineShed, respectively. Participants will build 3D geological and quality models using borehole data, implement seam and strip layouts, and generate scheduling scenarios using calendar-based tools. Minex’s specialisation in layered deposits makes it indispensable for professionals managing coal blocks, surface layout planning, and ROM output calculations. This course builds both confidence and competence in handling large stratified datasets and deriving mineable outputs. And finally, will do the scheduling based on the requirement.

Key Takeways

  • Expertise in creating 3D structure, quality, and fault models.
  • Seamless data management from boreholes to reserve blocks.
  • Deep knowledge of choice mining methods (Open cast/ Underground: Longwall/Bord and Pillar) tailored for coal.
  • Ability to calculate WASTE and ROM reserves, volumes, and tonnages.
  • Experience in running calendar-based production schedules and generating reports.
  • Validate models, handle merge scenarios, and generate outputs for stakeholders.
  • Realistic exposure to coal mine layout, operational planning and mine scheduling.
